Trey has practiced in United States District Courts in the Southern Districts of Texas including the Brownsville division, McAllen Division, Corpus Christi Division, Victoria Division, Houston Division, and Laredo Division. In addition to the above areas, Trey has handled cases for his clients in the Del Rio and San Antonio Divisions that are part of the Texas Western District of the United States District Courts.

In addition to trial Courts,  Trey’s practice has also seen him represent clients in the appellate arena. Trey has represented clients before the Texas 13th Court of Appeals, the Texas Supreme Court and the Untied States 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.

About the Attorney

Reynaldo G. (Trey) Garza, III grew up in Brownsville, Texas and is the grandson of Judge Reynaldo G. Garza, the first Mexican-American federal judge in United States history. He is the son of Reynaldo G. Garza, Jr.,  a successful lawyer and mediator practicing in Brownsville, Texas. For Trey, the choice to become an attorney was an easy one.

Education

After graduating from Baylor School of Law in 1998, Trey moved back to the Rio Grande Valley to practice law as his grandfather and father had done before him.  Today he continues his family’s tradition of representing clients in South Texas.
